《 A Letter To You 》

How can I find words to write the pain you have been through? How can I find the words to tell you how brave you have been? Standing still, even after all those sleepless nights where you cried yourself to sleep. Listening to everyone tell you how you are not enough, still smiling and saying 'I'll do better'. Going through hell yourself, not making a single sound, so others don't have to worry about you. The thought of not being a burden to others. The thought of not being a disappointment. The pain of giving your all and still not being enough, getting compared to someone else who is perfect in their eyes. Tell me, how can I describe your pain?

You are brave enough to bear it all. You are strong enough to still stand tall. You are courageous enough to still lend your heart and selfless enough to still be there for others, to play your part.
Love yourself. No one can ever see this world through your eyes. You are enough for yourself, to make it suffice.

"And Here I am, standing at the edge thinking, why did I ever let my voice out? You keep telling me that I'm free, that I can sream if I need to. But look at the results, what about that freedom now? I screamed with all my might, telling you how much suffocating I feel in these walls, about how your words hit like arrows, that tear my heart down. I told you everything that you did wrong. How your arms do not make me feel protected, they make me feel like I'm Imprisoned. My head may be full of voices now, it may feel like a prison now, but the person whom I though as my savior was the one to start it all.
A realization that hit me late but hard. So I screamed it all, not on paper but in front of you, with my own voice, with all the courage I could muster up.
But...You Blamed it all on me. How I'm at fault, how everything I do is wrong, telling me how useless I am and how I made you out to be the villain.

So, tell me Where is my freedom now? Just because I told you, you were wrong..."

"And My silent screams echo in these walls. I don't see the beauty and color in this world any longer. The beauty you describe through your eyes. It's as if I'm colorblind, only seeing things in black and white while everyone else can see the colours. Sometimes it feels like life is passing by me, in front of me, while everything around is moving so fast. While all I can do is sit there and see everything happening. Just like broken pieces of a crayon, which broke trying to colour its world."

"Can you ever forgive someone whom you loved and they ended up betraying you?" She asked...staring at me as if searching for something more than an answer.

"How about you tell me, if you can ever imagine the nightsky without the moon and the stars and still admire it ?"

" *laugh* How can someone ever? Without the moon and the star the night sky will just be a saga of dark clouds that feels like it will consume you whole."

I looked in her eyes and spoke..
"Then how can I ever forgive someone, whom I loved and they ended up betraying me. Loving someone is like laying your heart out to them, giving them your soul's moon and stars, your trust. You are most vulnerable to them. And when such a person betrays you, they throw your feelings, your heart and your trust in a pile of garbage as if it never meant anything to them. They take away a whole part of you with them. How can I ever forgive someone, who left me to be a hollow shell, taking away a whole part of me?"

"And I loved you. Through all the seasons and all the storms, with all my heart. Somedays we laughed till our stomachs ached while on others we confide in each other trying to mend each other and make it through the way. I'm not a brave person, even though you say so, I don't have the strength in my heart to wear my emotions on my face and my heart on my sleeves. I can't even muster up enough courage to tell you how much...how very much...I love you, so when I do open my lips to tell you that, please read my silence, my stutterings and my words. The warmth you give me is something I crave. You are my hope in this cruel place filled with darkness. So Don't ever leave me, because if you do, I'll be left cold and numb.

It's fine even if you call me in the middle of night, telling me you are not doing fine...and can't explain it through words...I'm willing to listen to your silence till you sleep. After all aren't we both great at reading each other's silence?"
